Kew House
Rebuilding on an existing slab
Kew
Residential Build
This project was challenging as it involved the demolition of a 1970’s double brick home except for an existing slab and suspended slab. The team had to cut in a new basement and front entry and build two new levels while propping the existing slabs.
The new home incorporated a cheese room / wine room in the basement, theatre room and an ultra-modern metal-front kitchen with a 6m-plus stone island bench. Design details included an internal bar with bronze sheet doors, polished concrete render to the ceilings and walls on front entries, and floor-to-ceiling sliding doors overlooking an infinity pool and the spectacular view.
